Tarot Nano Kit intro
This year vapers have seen a huge uptick in kits containing a miniature mod and a subohm tank. Especially from Chinese companies, it seems like this year there have been too many kits to count. Today I will be taking a look at another new kit, this time from Vaporesso called the Tarot Nano Kit.
But before I get into the review, I have to say that I hope Vaporesso made enough of these things because this Kit is awesome. From the jam-packed features of the mini Tarot Nano 80W/TC to their new and flavorful Veco tank with ceramic-less coils, Vaporesso is ending the year out with a bang!

Tarot Nano
The Tarot Nano 80W/TC is the shrunken version of the uniquely shaped Tarot Pro 160W/TC, but with a new center-mounted 510 connection. It retains the same Omni Board (a Vaporesso-made chipset), just with half the power and slightly higher resistance load. There is upgradable firmware via the side USB port with an internal battery of 2600 mAh, a max wattage of 80 watts with a minimum resistance load of 0.15-ohms.
The Tarot Nano supports TC with a temp range from of 280F-600F (100C-315C) via pre-settings for SS, Ni, or Ti, and there is also TCR with two programmable memory settings. If that wasn't enough, the Omni Board in this mod includes four other easy-to-access modes. The other modes are: Smart VW mode (new atomizer recognition with auto-set power in a safe range), CCW (custom curve wattage), and CCT (custom curve temperature), and bypass (which allows you to just dump battery power to you atomizer like a mechanical mod).
Smart VW mode allows any kanthal-coiled atty to be detected with an automatic safe power level set. Overriding this feature is as simple as adjusting the +/- toward the power you wish. Or, you can leave it as is. This feature is great for the new vaper that may not know exactly where to set the power.
CCW and CCT modes are both the same thing, but one is for TC and the other for VW. Such a fun feature! This mode allows you to customize the way your atomizer performs within a 5-second time frame based on the wattage you set per .5-seconds. Essentially what that means is you can design the "curve" of heat you experience. The self-adjusted curve is displayed in a bar graph where each bar has its own wattage setting. Each bar represents .5 seconds. You can set it to peak in the middle, the end or the beginning, or any kind combination of peaks, valleys or plateaus. It's up to you! This feature really does change the way you experience the vape, and it's easy to accomplish and fun to experience.
Things to know
- Because the Tarot Nano is much shorter than the Tarot Pro, it has a better center of gravity. No worries about this one tipping over as easily like the Pro. But they both are thin.
- The Taro Nano is small (compared to something like the OSUB Plus). It's just 69 mm x 38 mm x 22.5 mm. For the metric system-challenged (for which I am the president), it's just 2.7 inches tall, and not even an inch and a half wide!
- The diameter is 22.5 millimeters, but anything like a 24 millimiters will be too much. 22.5 millimeters or under is my suggestion. Consider how thin this mod is. It should not carry too wide a load up top.
- Accessing the various modes is easy. CCT or CCW is accessed by three quick presses of the bottom (mode) button, and the other modes require holding down the mode button for like two seconds and repeating that process.
- There is no wattage adjustment in TC (like some other mini mods with TC).
- In CCT or CCW mode, the wattage will not be visible, just the curve pattern you set.
- The +/- buttons move quickly. It goes from fast to faster, but single presses go up by .1 increments.
- Smart VW mode only works with kanthal coiled-atomizers. If using an Ni, SS or Ti coil, you have to set the mod to the correct mode or adjust your own TCR. It would be nice if Smart mode worked for TC coils too, but there is already more to this mod than I could ask for!
- While charging from a dead battery, this mod jumps to 60% in 5 minutes, it's at 75% after 40 minutes, and is finished charging in about one hour 50 minutes. Not bad. I doubt that initial 60% was really 60%, but the full charge is still fairly quick for 2500 mAh.
Veco Tank
The Vecco is a top-fill 22 mm subohm tank with a 2 mL juice capacity. This tank does not come with ceramic coils! The Veco Tank comes traditional cotton coils for those people (such as myself) that don't want to use ceramic-based coils. I am thoroughly enjoying the tank, so I definitely appreciate Vaporesso not being dead set on only ceramic coils. It's got really good flavor with a semi-restricted airflow (maybe MTL is possible?) and the airflow being at the top ensures that you won't getting any leaking. That is a great thing!
The tank itself is flavorful and it does not guzzle juice and has an easy coil swap system. Just turn the tank upside down, unscrew the base and drop in a new coil. These coils are supposed to be "ECO friendly" by having less material to throw away (there's not a lot to the head). I guess. I don't knock the goal, I just think this here is marketing and not much else. Maybe cut back on all the cardboard and plastic in packaging. But I digress.
Things to know
- The easy-swap coil feature coils can get changed while liquid is in the tank, as long as your tank isn't too full — if it is, liquid can seep through the feed holes, down through the tip. But you can change the coil so quickly, it's not an issue. Pop one out and drop another in. Just be quick if your tank is full.
- EUC coils take about a full 2 mL to break in and reveal their true performance.
- Due to the top-fed air hole placement, you can cover up the airflow while taking a rip. Just make sure just your lips are on the tip. Not further down.
- The coils for this tank are going to come in packs of 10 and will have an available adapter for Apsire tanks (AFAIK).

Verdict
What a fun kit. I don't know if others will like it as much as I do, but I think it's pretty great!
Looking at my notes for this review, I struggled to come up with many cons. The cons that I do have with the device are offset by the many positive qualities the Tarot Nano has. I knew the mod was going to be sweet, but I never imagined I would like the tank too. A lot of times the tanks in kits are just meh to me, but I really enjoy this one.
I got to give Vaporesso props for this kit. The features and performance of this are at a high level, and it just so happens to look pretty damn cool, too!
