Product intro and specs
The DOJO PUREX 60K is a 1000 mAh disposable vape with two power modes and a load of flavor. The design takes the separate-tank concept popularized by the original NEXA Ultra 50K and improves it. I loved the idea when I first saw it on the NEXA: you could see all your juice, and the e-liquid wasn’t sitting against the coil and affecting the flavor before you ever took a puff. It was a genius design, but the original execution was a little awkward to engage. The PUREX simplifies that same basic blueprint and makes it actually fun.
There are no parts to figure out, nothing to install, and really nothing to understand. The tank is already where it belongs; you just squeeze it into the device (more on that in a minute). Once activated, the PUREX is basically everything I want from a modern disposable: superb flavor, a loose MTL draw, two useful power modes, a big battery, and a design that doesn’t turn vaping into a light show.
And the flavor? Yeah. This thing goes hard.
Price: $14.99 (at Element Vape)
Flavors: Blue razz ice, cherry lime, citrus bomb, clear, frozen banana, juicy grape, mango pineapple, Mexico mango, Miami mint, mint green, sour apple ice, sour fcuking fab, strawberry ice, strawberry lychee mix, tobacco, trio berry, watermelon ice
Size, look, and feel
The PUREX measures 91.27 mm x 54.8 mm x 29.55 mm. It’s not tiny, but its dimensions don’t really tell the story. The rounded body and proportions make it feel smaller in the hand than you’d expect from a 16 mL disposable with a 1000 mAh battery. The body has a matte, soft-touch exterior with a thin rubberized feel, contrasted against the grippy gloss of the clear tank. It’s a nice combination.
Obviously, you can see the entire juice contents, which I always prefer over a digital estimate. DOJO calls the transparent tank the “Mega Clear Capsule.” The display is also handled well. Instead of covering the device’s side with a carnival-light attraction, there’s a small radial display near the bottom. It’s basically at the base of your palm when you’re holding it. It gives you the information you need without broadcasting every puff across the room. It’s one of the stealthier display implementations I’ve seen lately, while keeping the LED.
The mouthpiece is soft-touch and bite-friendly, with enough length to comfortably hold between your teeth. That makes the PUREX almost perfect for hands-free use. The device does have some weight—about 100 g—so I wouldn’t hang it from my front teeth. I hold it toward the side of my mouth, where it’s comfortable and secure. It works.
Getting started
When is getting started one of your favorite parts of vaping? When you’re vaping on the DOJO PUREX 60K.
NEXA introduced me to this type of visible feeding system with the ULTRA 50K and then refined it considerably with the PIX 35K. The PIX reduced the process to essentially squeezing the two halves together until they snapped. DOJO puts its own spin on that idea.
Remove the seal around the tank, then squeeze the tank against the device body. But “squeeze” almost undersells it. You need to give the PUREX a serious grip and crush the two sections together in your hand; it’s almost a grip-strength exercise. You feel resistance, then a crunching compression, followed by a definitive click when the tank is fully engaged. It’s wildly satisfying.
When I opened the first few PUREX devices, I happened to be hanging out with my neighbor, Taylor, who’s a smoker/vaper. I handed him one and let him activate the tank. He squeezed it shut and immediately said, “Whoa!” Exactly. There’s something satisfying about the mechanical action, much like popping the tab on an aluminum can. You don’t merely remove grommets and start vaping. You activate the thing.
Once the tank clicks into place, the screen automatically begins a 10-second countdown. When it reaches zero, you’re ready to vape.
Interestingly, my neighbor’s girlfriend, Tammi, tried activating one but couldn’t fully seat the tank. I don’t know whether DOJO intentionally designed the resistance as a child deterrent (they don’t advertise it that way), but it certainly isn’t something that engages accidentally. The downside is that someone with limited grip strength could have trouble getting started. I’d consider that the PUREX’s first legitimate con, although more precise instructions would probably solve some of it.
Power modes
To power on and select either ECO or SMART mode, use the toggle switch on the bottom of the device. The settings are labeled in a legible embossed font. DOJO rates ECO mode at 60K puffs and SMART mode at 30K. SMART mode hits with more force, flavor, saturation, and vapor, but it’s still a loose MTL. ECO mode is plenty satisfying on its own, but with less oomph. If you don’t take big hits, there’s probably no need to leave ECO mode.
The INSTA-JUICED system
The PUREX is a little different from the NEXA PIX, despite the obvious conceptual resemblance. With the PIX, the device already has saturated filler inside before you snap the external tank into place. I actually discovered that by accidentally vaping one before activating it.
The PUREX starts with its 16 mL of liquid isolated from the coil. Once you push the tank into place, the INSTA-JUICED system releases the liquid and begins the saturation process. DOJO gives it a ten-second countdown on the display before the device is ready. No guesswork!
How does it hit?
Fantastic. The PUREX delivers a smooth, loose MTL draw with instant activation and tons of flavor. It’s airy enough that you don’t have to work for the hit, but it still has enough restriction to feel like a loose MTL vape.
The vapor is dense without being ridiculous, and the flavor comes through with the kind of saturation that makes you take another hit just to confirm what you tasted on the first one. Honestly, this thing vapes like it was built for the most hardcore chain vapers! There’s no ramp-up, no break-in period, and no first few questionable hits while the coil figures itself out. It just hits. Silently, too!
I’ve reviewed enough disposables that I don’t get particularly excited about much anymore. A device still has to vape well before its features can wow me. The PUREX vapes exceptionally well, so the features are just a bonus.
DOJO PUREX 60K best flavors
The DOJO PUREX flavors are as good as, if not better than, the best disposables out there. It delivers supreme flavor clarity, saturation, and authenticity. If you’re grabbing the device in the dark, you won’t have to wonder if it’s mango you’re vaping. You’ll know!
Mexico Mango: Mango puree tasting, with a depth of flavor that tree-ripened mangoes are jealous of. Holy smokes!
Watermelon Ice: Sweet watermelon popping with a cool finish. Simple, bright, and easy to vape.
Blue Razz Ice: Sweet and tart blue raspberry with so much depth of flavor that you might feel like it’s your first blue razz. Moderate icy finish.
Citrus Bomb: Sour and sweet like the old Tang drink. Slightly less flavor than the others, but in a way that lets you modulate your flavor intake. Personally, I sometimes like a slight reprieve from in-your-face flavor.
Sour Fcuking Fab: A tad more sour than sweet, but an overall unrelenting flavor experience. It starts great on the inhale with a touch of OMG! on the exhale.
How long does it last?
This is where I stop caring about the “60K” printed on the box. I’m not going to count 60,000 puffs, and neither are you. The PUREX contains 16 mL of e-liquid; that’s the number I care about. And because the reservoir is transparent, I can watch that 16 mL disappear instead of wondering whether a digital droplet icon is telling me the truth (hint: it rarely is). After the first battery depletion that took about a day of hard vaping, there was about a quarter gone.
The 1000 mAh battery is also substantial for a disposable, though in practice I get about as much run time as usual: a day or so. DOJO rates the charging input at 1A, and it takes about an hour to charge completely.
The PUREX 60K has pass-through charging and is ready to use within a minute or so, even from a fully depleted battery.

Verdict
The DOJO PUREX 60K is a top-level disposable. It didn’t invent the detached-tank concept; it evolved it into a more exciting user experience. Squeeze. Crush. Click. Ten seconds later, you’re vaping.
Then it backs up that first impression with what matters most: an excellent vape experience. The flavor is saturated and vibrant; the draw is smooth, and even ECO mode goes hard without needing to enter SMART (POWER) mode. That said, even though I don’t need to go into SMART mode, I do. It’s too good not to.
There are disposables with more features. I don’t care. The DOJO PUREX 60K gets the important stuff really, really right! That’s S-tier status.
