Lucy Lozenges review
Lucy nicotine lozenges are a convenient and discreet way to get nicotine. The lozenges are a more recent addition to the Lucy line of modern oral nicotine products. They come with 27 lozenges per child-lock container; available in 4 mg nicotine strength. Additionally, there are three flavors: cherry ice, citrus, and mint.
The bottles can be purchased in sets of three for $40 (plus free shipping) directly from the Lucy website. Subscriptions bring the price down to $35 (a 12.5% savings), but the subscription plan is checked by default. If you want to make a single purchase for $40, make sure to untick the subscription box in the checkout. Or cancel at any time.

How to use Lucy Lozenges
Lucy lozenges can take up to 30-40 minutes to dissolve if left just sitting there, despite their small size—smaller than a Tic-Tac. If you get a bit vigorous moving it around, it could dissolve faster. But it's not a mint. You're meant to absorb the nicotine by way of your mucous membranes, not your gut.
- Place under lip (or between cheeks and gums)
- Let it dissolve slowly
- Refrain from sucking or chewing it
Although you're not meant to suck on nicotine lozenges, you still get flavor from parking the lozenge. The lozenges dissolve much like a dry pill sitting in a bit of water, but slower. Luckily, there's not much "mash" left after it dissolves like it is with Rogue lozenges. But as it gets soft, you might feel compelled to chew it. Resist that temptation, though I doubt it’s a BIG deal. Just don’t make a habit out of using it that way.
Lucy Lozenges flavors
With the Lucy pouch line, the flavors are bright, big, and bold. The lozenge flavors overall are just decent. I enjoy one of the three flavors, which is cherry ice. I suspect Lucy was going for a more OTC feel since the lozenges look like little pills.
Cherry ice
A quality sweet cherry with a subtle mint taste.
Mint
A fairly generic mint taste but with a fair amount of bite.
Citrus
A malty orange flavor but with a medicinal taste.
Overall experience
I like using the Lucy lozenges more than the comparable Rogue lozenges. Both brands dissolve slowly, but Lucy dissolves more thoroughly.
On a recent trip with my kids to the park, I used one Lucy lozenge for the entire time. It lasted close to 40 minutes. And although it's only 4 mg, it seemed as if I had a steady (albeit thin) stream of nicotine (and flavor) the whole time.
It would've been nice to have better flavor from these, but the cool cherry and mint are nothing offensive—just not as good as other Lucy products. I'm splitting hairs here, which happens in reviews, so take my opinion of the flavors with a grain of salt...except for the citrus. Maybe pass on that one. Other than that, these lozenges are another quality product from Lucy. A bit on the pricey side, but recommended.
